AES+F is proud to be part of the exhibition Utopia. The Right to Hope at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, showing our porcelain sculpture series Mare Mediterraneum (2018).
In a time marked by conflict, ecological crisis, and uncertainty, this project highlights the importance of art in imagining paths toward more just, sustainable, and hopeful futures. Rather than offering one grand vision, Utopia brings together diverse micro-utopias—projects and ideas that, collectively, propose new ways of living and coexisting.
Participating artists include AES+F, Pablo Albarenga, Yael Bartana, Ursula Biemann, Cao Fei, Ólafur Elíasson, Claire Fontaine, Otobong Nkanga, Cornelia Parker, Tomás Saraceno, Yinka Shonibare, and many others.
The exhibition is curated by Andreas Beitin, Sebastian Mühl, and Dino Steinhof.
