For its sixth edition, MOMENTUM’s travelling exhibition series Art from Elsewhere arrives in Malta as part of the organization’s 15th-anniversary program. Entitled DEEP THROAT, the exhibition examines the obscene performance of geopolitics in today’s world of power, propaganda, and spectacle.
Positioned at the crossroads of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, Malta provides a charged context for this edition, which unites artists from around the globe to reflect on how images of war, inequality, and manipulation shape our shared reality.
Our work Inverso Mundus—a contemporary reinterpretation of the medieval motif “The World Upside Down”—is presented as a one-channel video installation. Within the exhibition’s dialogue, it serves as an allegory of reversed hierarchies and distorted moral orders, echoing the grotesque theatre of global politics today.
