AES+F to Take Part in FotoFest 2026 40th Anniversary Exhibition
We are honored to announce that AES+F has been invited to participate in the upcoming FotoFest International Biennial 2026, which will take place in Houston, Texas, from March through April 2026. The 2026 edition marks the 40th anniversary of FotoFest—one of the world’s leading photography and visual arts festivals.
To celebrate this milestone, the Biennial will present a major retrospective exhibition highlighting key artists and curators who have shaped FotoFest’s history since its founding in 1986. The central exhibition will revisit significant past presentations, and we are pleased to share that our work from the 2006 exhibition The Earth & Artist Responding to Violence has been selected for inclusion.
AES+F will be represented by Episode 1, No. 13 from the 2003 series Action Half Life. The curatorial team, led by FotoFest co-founder and artistic director Wendy Watriss together with Annick Dekiouk, aims to recreate the original exhibition as faithfully as possible.
We are proud to be part of this landmark celebration and to once again contribute to the global conversation fostered by FotoFest over the past four decades.
More information will follow as the exhibition approaches.
